You'll find several well-loved recipes contributed by Shawn's mother-in-law, Meme, here on the Askinosie Chocolate blog but this one might just be our favorite. Our advice? Don't skip incorporating chopped pecans or walnuts into the batter or topping with frosting.

1 ½ cup flour
1 cup melted butter (2 sticks)
2 cups sugar
½ tsp. baking powder
1 cup (+) nuts
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
½ cup Askinosie Natural Cocoa Powder
Optional Toppings, additional chopped nuts or chocolate frosting (recipe below)
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. Askinosie Natural Cocoa Powder
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup powdered sugar
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Pour melted butter over dry ingredients. Mix and add eggs, nuts and vanilla. In a greased 13x9x2 pan, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Melt butter in medium pan. Stir in cocoa until dissolved. Add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix well.
